Hats and Hairdos – Total Car Parks team volunteers at St Helena Hospice’s Midnight Walk

A Total Car Parks team held on to their hats and volunteered at St Helena Hospice’s biggest fundraiser of the year – The ‘Hats and Hairdos’ Midnight Walk!

Representatives from the company’s IT and administration departments managed the car parking for the 900 plus participants, who together aimed to raise £85,000 for the cause.

Walkers set off on Saturday 23rd June 2018, at 10.30 pm, on a 3 or 7.5-mile route - starting and finishing at Stanfords, The Livestock Market in Colchester - with many volunteers returning in the early hours.

Georgina Norton, Senior Administrator for Essex-based Total Car Parks, said: “It was a fantastic event with a colourful atmosphere.

“This is the tenth anniversary of the Midnight Walk, which is very fitting as Total Car parks is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year too; and we have been proud to support the charity from the start.

“People wore crazy hats and wigs and dressed in wacky outfits. It was a tremendous turnout for an excellent cause and we were glad to be a part of it.”

The event kicked off with music and dancing, and fire jugglers also put on a spectacular display for the audience.

St Helena Hospice is an Essex-based charity that helps people living with terminal illness and their families.
