A Total Car Parks team member recently gave an inspirational speech [on Friday 31st August] at the Ricoh Dragon Boat Race in Windsor to raise money for the Princes Trust.
Ryan Taylor, the firm’s Head of New Business and Development and Princes Trust Young Ambassador, spoke about how the charity changed his life by introducing him to the car park company during his participation of the Princes Trust Team Programme.
Mr Taylor, 26 from Ipswich, said: “The Dragon Boat Race was a fantastic, fun-filled event, with multiple teams made up from the staff at Ricoh, and a number of their suppliers and clients, and it was a great opportunity to talk about how the Princes’ Trust helped me get back into the working world.
“Without the Princes Trust I would have not have been capable of creating the level of opportunities for myself that I have done in the last five years and I certainly wouldn’t be sharing my story at events like this.
“Total Car Parks’ Managing Director Essy Eslamian is a huge supporter of the Trust and clearly cares about the youth of our country, I owe him tremendously for the progress of my professional development during my time with Total Car Parks and I look forward to repaying him for his guidance though the results of my work”
Mr Taylor was introduced to Mr Eslamian five years ago, who spotted his potential. Ryan’s talent shone through and he worked his way quickly through the ranks progressing from Junior Administrator to Head of New Business and Development.
Teams of ten in 30ft boats took part in the event, which was part of the Princes’ Trust ‘Million Makers Corporate Challenge’. This sees corporate teams from across the UK competing to raise at least £10,000 or more over a six-month period.
